This clinic is designed to work for a wide range of riders and horses — whether you’re just getting started in cow horse or looking to sharpen your skills and raise your show-level performance.
One of the biggest advantages of this format is flexibility. Riders can choose to participate in a single session or ride all weekend, allowing you to tailor the clinic to your goals, schedule, and experience level.
Sessions will be divided by skill level to help ensure riders get the most out of their time in the arena. Smaller groups and limited riders per session mean significant individual attention and coaching throughout the weekend.
Jon Hawthorne is an outstanding non-pro coach with a talent for helping riders understand the “why” behind what they’re doing — making this clinic valuable for both experienced competitors wanting to elevate their game and newer riders looking to build confidence, improve fundamentals, and become more competitive in the show pen.
Reining sessions will focus on improving maneuver ex*****on, body control, feel, and show preparedness, while cow work sessions will help riders develop confidence, timing, position, and effective cattle handling.
Whether your goal is to clean up your circles, gain confidence down the fence, improve your boxing, or simply become a more effective rider overall, this clinic is built to provide practical, individualized help in a supportive environment.
