East Texas Historical Fencing

East Texas Historical Fencing ETHF is a fencing club, focusing on the historical fencing weapons of the 1400s through the 1800s.

We are a historical European martial arts (HEMA) club out of Tyler and serving all of East Texas. Members work at reconstructing the martial traditions of Europe through both physical training and research.

Looking for a unique activity that keeps kids active, focused, and having fun? 🤺

At East Texas Historical Fencing, our KidsFence program combines historical swordsmanship with modern Olympic fencing to create an exciting, fast-paced sport kids love. Student build confidence, coordination, discipline, and quick thinking while learning fencing skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Classes include games, drills, footwork, partner exercises, and controlled sparring for all experience and fitness levels. No prior experience needed, just a willingness To learn and have fun.
