Busy day at Brewster, not too many pictures today. Ran 4 heats - (2) vintage & (2) E350. Started and finished all of them. Only a couple issues with the boat. Driver and crew are wiped out tired. Tomorrow we end the 2026 season, going out strong. Hill Family Racing.

We had a special visitor at the Hill Family Racing shop this afternoon with a delivery of Karelsen stickers and a tee shirt. It was a special moment. 💗Now I am one of the cool vintage kids.😎
E46 all packed up and on tilt, ready to roll out to Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association last race of the year Sept 25-26 at Brewster,WA. The plan is to double dip and run E350 and Vintage.
Looking for some help in Brewster!
Busy times...I fly out to NC for work on Sat. back home late Thurs. change bags, jump in the truck and head for Brewster on Friday. Gotta get my fix before I disappear into the shop to work on next years ride. Last blast of summer lets go ya'll.👅🏃‍♀️

Jumped on the E44 this weekend and got the old capsule out. Played around with the mock up of the not as old Jones capsule. Long road ahead but working on 2027 race season.

See my new front wing stuck in up position (minor adjustments to be made). Great video of "The Don" running strong with a good E350 prop. Home from another really fun weekend with the vintage family at the 2nd annual Moses Lake Vintage Test & Tune. Photo dump and brief update. Saturday I ran one heat after the wind settled down, good heat, boat ran great.
Sunday morning (burr) I uploaded a new tune from and went to start the boat and started was dead. I scrambled and got a backup starter installed but was bummed that I missed the Ed Karelsen tribute heat. Ran two good heats, was offered a third heat a took it. Really cool to see everyone and the new Thriftway Unlimited boat is beautiful. Thanks as always to my crew chief and friend A Tim Pearson for the all the help and hospitality.
Good to bring the boat home in tact and motor still running strong. Just 4 more heats left at Brewster, WA for the 2026 race season.

HFR E46 all fixed up and even got the new carbon fiber front wing completed. Made the hall over the mountains to Moses Lake Vintage Test & Tune. Should be a great weekend of vintage exhibition. Great boat count again this year, cool to see so many vintage boats.
I am just going to take it easy, play with tuning and have some fun!!

Hill Family Racing update:
I want to thank ya'll for your comments and suggestions, I appreciate them and I do try to learn and adjust.
No surprise I have been working hard since our disappointing Western Divisionals at Pateros. The bottom repair v2 is complete, new thrust bearing, shaft seals, and threw the back-up shaft in. I pretzeled the other shaft, bent in two directions. Motor is fine, 70psi on the trailer.
I have been working all summer on the new carbon fiber front canard or wing. Its been a great learning experience and its almost done. Its not perfect but I am proud of my efforts.
I got my prop crack checking sprays on Thursday and have dye penitration checked all of my remaining props, all clear inspection.
So "with all do respect" I don't recall saying I was done for this season🙄🤣.
Entry is in for Moses Lake Vintage Test & Tune! Going to play with motor tunes from , in prep for next year, and have a blast with the vintage family. If all goes well I will likely run at Brewster for the last gas of this summer. I am on track to have participated in all region 10 inboard events this year. Winter sucks, play hard while the sun shines.🌞
