So last week Thursday, we got the boys together to talk about the future of the program and give some props to the guys on their amazing season. We talked about what the guys wanted to do heading into next year and how we attack getting even better.
This year was a good year, but there’s better to come. We’re gonna build on the progress we made as a program and a team and hopefully soar to new levels.
This year’s MVP went to William Lee, averaging just under 15 PPG to go along with commanding the offense. Our Most Improved Player was Tyler Hawkins. Tyler started with us last year and took a big jump up in year, becoming an even better shooter and always being in the right place at the right time.
On the season, we ended up 3-8, but don’t let the win-loss fool you. We took a big jump in points scored and just overall efficiency. This group was by far the best group we’ve had with willingness to get in the gym and work hard.
All of us as coaches were amazed at the hunger the boys had to play ball this summer, and it’s something we want to continue to build on.
Our parents and sponsors came in huge this year as well, raising the money to not only send our boys to the Dells to close their season but to make sure they look fresh while doing so.
We are beyond grateful for the achievements and growth these boys had this season, and we hope the best for them into high school.
