January 16-21
Very proud of how the boys responded to adversity this week. The program finished 5-1 on the week. The JV and Frosh got their wins in Wood River, then they created a very loud and fun environment for the varsity game to complete the sweep. It was a great road trip.

Later, varsity beat Burley for the first time since 2011 (Canyon Ridges 2nd year in existence). Great things happening in our program as we continue to RAISE the Bar. Here is a look at this week.

Mr. Reynolds has made me aware of some change to the schedule in the last few weeks so pay careful attention. One affects us this week. The other is in a few weeks (When TF comes here we will play 4:30/6:00/7:30 on the Main Floor—more on that in later weeks).

Secondly: Rough end to last week, but I have confidence the boys will bounce back. We are 20-10 as a program this year and all 3 teams have winning records at the moment. Let’s keep it going.

Lastly: We are winning off the court as well. Here are the GPAs from the FALL 2022.

December 12-17
Last week was an excellent week for our program. We finished the week 8-1 as a program frosh, JV, and V. We wrapped up the week with a great community service project in which the guys donated their old shoes to an African orphanage, Kenya Relief. The ‘S’ in RAISE stands for SELFLESS. Our kids are getting it done.

Sorry another post. Been a busy week.

Ridge Relief game was a hit. Ridgevue and Canyon Ridge partnered to donate basketball shoes, socks, uniforms and basketballs to Kenya Relief coached by Canyon Ridge alumnus Ryan Packham and his family.

We don’t have totals, but there was 100+ shoes. Big thank you to Ridgevue and Canyon Ridge communities to promote selfless players who are great people off the court as well as on it. 🏀. Great game and event all the way around.

I have seen a few dunks in my day, but what Samuel Lupumba did last night …… 👀 🔥. We get to see it everyday, super special when it happens in games for everyone to see.

Here is the schedule for the week.

RIDGE RELIEF CHARITY DONATION GAME: At the end of the week we are hosting Ridgevue and doing a charity basketball shoe donation for Kenya Relief. Canyon Ridge alumnus, Ryan Packham, and his family are coaching a Kenyan basketball team through Kenya Relief. Ryan still has the best assist in Canyon Ridge history (see video), here is an opportunity to assist him, his family and Kenya Relief.

They are requesting gently used basketball shoes from years past. We will also be donating some old basketball jerseys so they can have some of their own. Canyon Ridge basketball is committed to making our players better off the court in the community and classroom, so this is an opportunity to do that. We hope you will consider donating your old basketball shoes to individuals who are in need while supporting the Packham’s. There will be t-shirts for those who donate their shoes.
