It is officially small boat season. Water is low but big fish are munching on hoppers and it’s easy to have the river to yourself.

Hello all!

My name is Brisman and I’m excited to announce that I’m the new manager here at Rack and Reel. I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself in the midst of the off season, prior to the summer chaos.

A little bit about me! I grew up off the grid, traveling back and forth between the Brooks Range of Alaska and Northwest Montana with a family that instilled the love of the outdoors in every way imaginable. Somewhere in there, I took it upon myself to apply for my first guide position when I was 17 years old, and ever since I’ve been running around the rivers and mountains. In more recent years of my life, I’ve been lucky enough to find myself a home in the Ruby Valley with my girlfriend and our English Setter, Willow (we all know she’s the real star of the show). I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and time with those who are willing to come experience it with me.

I look forward to meeting everyone! Southwest Montana is an amazing place and we are ready to show you what it is all about!
