The Aces are holding a tryout on Sept 11 at Dirtbag central, the Long Beach State campus field which is located behind the Pyramid. Arrive by 4pm. All athletes with a baseball age of 14u and younger are welcome. Message me with questions/confirmations.

I always tell my boys to hustle and play hard because you never know when someone is watching. Well, at the AAU World Series last week someone from Team USA was watching and liked what he saw out of Roddie, Cade, Blake, Joey and Drew(not pictured). They were invited to play a scrimmage game against Team USA in their last game before heading to Mexico for the Pan Am games. All 5 showed they can hang with the best of the best. Keep working and playing hard and good things will keep happening. Great job boys! Very proud of all 5 of you today.

The California Aces are proud to announce we will be adding a second 12u team for the upcoming travel season. This will NOT be a "B" team. This will be a highly competitive addition to the existing 12u team. The tryout for this new team will be on Sept 12 at Los Alamitos HS from 9-11am. We will have one combined practice per week and the two teams will play on alternating weekends. The new team will be going to Cooperstown next summer to play in their annual tournament. Alex Barnes, who coached the Los Al Pony 11u "A" all star team this summer, will be managing and Bryson Barnella and Steve Louis (LBSU Pitcher) will be coaches. There is no monthly fees to play on this team. Only equipment costs, tournament fees and uniform costs. Any questions, please message.

Congratulations to Chris and Joey! Both contributed to our team in the Dominican. Chris had some quality ABs producing some big hits while playing a solid short stop, pitched a couple innings and stepped up to catch Joeys blazing fastballs after he was done pitching in the sweltering heat. Joey and Chris tied for the team lead on runs scored with 5 each. Joey also caught a couple innings and struck out 5 in 1 2/3 innings.

Congratulations Cade! Cade won offensive MVP for the 12u team. He hit .571with 3 doubles and 6RBI. He led the team in OBP, AVE, RBI, slugging and doubles. He also pitched 3 innings against the top DR team striking out 5 and walking only 1 batter.
