This weekend happenings for WTX Tribe 10u

WTX Tribe 10U’s summer schedule has taken off like a cat with a lit firecracker tied to its tail… fast, furious, and just a little chaotic.
We hit the road for the OKC Road to the Show Tournament for a weekend packed tighter than a tournament parking lot.
The girls were lucky enough to attend Session 2 of the NCAA Women’s College World Series, where they got to watch some absolutely incredible softball being played.
They also crossed paths with Arkansas biggest cruciferous fan , Broccoli Guy, and struck a pose with Nebraska’s legendary Bowlin Boys (aka Mr. Jordy Frohms guys). A few of the girls leaving that interaction as some smitten kittens.🤣
Somewhere between all the tournament events, fan-girling, and making memories, the girls managed to squeeze in a few softball games too. 🤣
It took us a day to shake off the travel dust and wake up the bats, but on Day 2 the Tribe looked a lot more like themselves… ballers. 💪🥎
Day 3 was rolling right along until softball reminded us why it’s such a humbling game. Things were going great… right up until they weren’t. 🥴 That brought our OKC chapter to a close, but not before making memories we’ll be talking about for a long time.
As always, we’re grateful for the opportunities, the experiences, and the time these girls get to spend together doing what they love.
Stay tuned for more WTX Tribe summer shenanigans. We’ve got a LOT more softball on deck, and if this trip was any indication, it’s going to be one wild ride.

Our softball family has taken a big hit with the passing of a huge presence that will forever be remembered. If her baby girl, Kyzliana, was playing, she was there in full force, cheering and supporting every minute of every game. Every weekend, you could guarantee Marissa was there. I will never forget watching her waddle around the ballpark, multiple weekends, at full capacity pregnant, in the peak of the Texas summer, cheering on her baby girl shining on the diamond. There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are for Kyzliana, the Carrillo and Quevedo family, during this time, but we can say we will continue to uplift and love on them as they are a part of our tribe. Marissa, your passing is truly heartbreaking, but we all know you now have the best seat at the ballpark❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
