TurkeyEyes simulates a turkey's vision using a complex algorithm based on an arduous scientific study of the distribution of cones and receptors in a turkey’s eye. It allows YOU, the hunter, to examine your camouflage, equipment and surroundings to be sure you do not have anything that stands out to a turkey. TurkeyEyes achieves this by using your iOS device’s built-in camera to augment the image

spectrum in real-time to automatically match the spectrum and color sensitivity of a turkey, thereby allowing you to see exactly how your camouflage, turkey blind, or anything else in the field would look through the eyes of a turkey! However, we want to caution you that a turkey’s vision is such a wider spectrum than humans that even if we duplicated the vision 100% perfectly, you would not be able to see all of it. This would be a similar comparison to recording the low frequency rumbles of an elephant and playing them back. Our hearing does not perceive these sounds. What you will notice is how the red spectrum is greatly exaggerated in the turkey’s vision. Turkeys also see in the UV spectrum. We cannot duplicate this spectrum , which we could not perceive anyway. However, the UV spectrum is most noticeable in super low light conditions. This would fall mostly within the hours just before sunrise or just after sunset, which is times we are not allowed to hunt anyway. If we can help you get that slight edge needed to bust ole Tom, we are happy.
