Our summer camp is back!

A fun, structured fitness program designed to help kids:
💪 Build strength & coordination
🏃 Improve athleticism
🔥 Stay active during summer
😄 Build confidence and discipline

🕡 Tuesdays & Thursdays | 6:00–7:00 PM

👦 Ages 5–12 recommended
👥 Limited to 14 athletes

Big congratulations to our Athletes of the Month, Rena and Matt!

Since joining Spencer Fitness in October 2022, these two have consistently led from the front — not just as athletes, but as coaches. Rena (CF-L2) and Matt (CF-L1) bring knowledge, professionalism, and early-morning energy to the gym every single week. If you’ve ever been in a morning class, you know the standard they set.

They coach early, train early, and rarely see the afternoon crowd — dedication at its finest. And fun fact: when Matt isn’t coaching or training, he’s also a ski instructor ⛷️

This month, we’re focusing on a new skill:

👉 Pacing & controlling your effort over time



🚴 What is FTP?

FTP (Functional Threshold Power) is the highest pace you can sustain for a long period without fading.

Push above it? You’ll burn out.
Stay just under it? You keep moving.

Learning this = better pacing in workouts 👊



📅 HOW IT WORKS:

Baseline Test: May 5
Final Test: May 29

We’ll retest at the end of the month to track your progress.



⚙️ Throughout the Month:

✔️ Optional weekly training piece
✔️ Learn how to control intensity
✔️ Improve your engine & pacing

We’re kicking off an 8-week Olympic Lifting Development Cycle focused on one thing:

👉 Move better. Lift better. Get stronger.

This cycle is built around:
🏋️ Sn**ch + Clean & Jerk progressions
🏋️ Strength work to support your lifts
🏋️ Building confidence under the bar



🔑 What to expect:

✔️ Technical precision before intensity
✔️ Progressive loading week to week
✔️ Improved positions, speed, and bar control
✔️ More confidence when the weight gets heavy



💥 The Goal:

By the end of this cycle, you’ll:
• Move the bar more efficiently
• Catch stronger, more stable

LOCAL COMPETITION COMING UP 💪🔥

We’re heading back to Journey Health & Fitness for their Strength & Endurance Invitational on May 30th.

Last year, our team brought home 2nd place 👀
…so we’re coming back ready.

This competition includes:
💥 Timed events (Burpees, Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, Sit-Ups)
💥 Endurance work (Carries, Lunges, Tire Flips, Battle Ropes)
💥 Strength events (Bench, Deadlift, Squat + more)
💥 Team events (Relay races, Tug of War, and more)

👉 We need 8 athletes to complete our team
👉 Registration forms are due April 15th
👉 $25 per person
👉 Forms are available at the front desk
👉 Forms & waivers must be signed

This is a great mix of strength, endurance, and teamwork.

Big congratulations to our April Athletes of the Month, Bekah & Ron Frisco!

Since joining Spencer Fitness in February 2023, these two have shown what consistency, commitment, and teamwork look like. You’ll usually find them in the 5 PM class, putting in the work and holding each other accountable every step of the way.

Their biggest win? Choosing to prioritize their health and building stronger, healthier habits together over the past three years. That kind of long-term commitment is what real progress is built on.

Starting Monday, April 6th

This month we’re building:
✔️ Strength
✔️ Coordination
✔️ Endurance

Throughout April, you’ll have opportunities to work on Toes-to-Bar during class.

Then at the end of the month:
100 Toes-to-Bar for Time.

This challenge isn’t just about finishing—it’s about progress.

Whether that means:
• Getting your first Toes-to-Bar
• Improving your efficiency
• Hanging longer than ever before

It all counts.

Train for something hard. Let’s get better. 💪

MARCH PUSH PULL CHALLENGE WINNERS 🏆
