Dance for kids. Dance for adults. Visual arts. Musical theater. And a whole lot of ways to move, learn, make things, meet people and find something you love. What’s extra magical? These things ALL work together in so many ways, any combination of disciplines is going to support the mind, body and spirit in soooooo many ways. Art changes lives. For reals. 😍💕🎨🎭🪩

We could be stressed about moving… Or Miss Rachel could put on another costume.

(The “another” is important. This has happened repeatedly. It will absolutely happen again)

There are approximately 700,000 things to do. But having a good day doesn’t always mean everything is going well…Sometimes you just have to make the ridiculous parts fun 😂😜🤷📦

Joy is something we choose around here.

And, sometimes joy is Miss Rachel wearing whatever we find in the next box, and walking around with the bubble guns that we keep finding 🫧🫧🫧😜

SSD FAMILIES! 📣 Don’t miss a thing!

We are deeeeep in moving mode over here and Season 13 is getting CLOSE. 🥳

There are still a few moving pieces with renovations and city permitting, so keep an eye on your texts, emails + socials as we head toward September 13th!

We’re doing big things over here.

But that’s just what we do 🤷

Dance skills are life skills, and every single member of the SSD team will tell you: we use ’em every single day. ESPECIALLY on the hard ones, the busy ones, the stressful ones.

And there have been a TON of ’em… Texas. New York. Hawaii. All the styles, all the places, all the things, all the rooms…

Before Miss Hannah was a studio owner, or even the teacher, she was the student in it.
Duh, right?

But it’s easy to forget! Behind every great leader are the teachers, mentors and coaches who taught them first. The ones who challenged them, believed in them, picked them back up and helped shape who they would become.

Dancers, your teachers know what it feels like, To try. To fall. To fail. To be corrected. To not get the part. To get the part. To keep showing up anyway.

That’s a big part of why we believe so fiercely in what happens inside these rooms. A dance class can be just a dance class, but a great teacher, at the right moment, can help a child (or adult!) discover just how much they’re capable of.

Every room matters. Every teacher leaves something behind. And you never quite know where all those little moments are leading you.

We absolutely cannot wait to welcome you into the new rooms we’re building for you now. ❤️ Who knows where your dancer will go from here 🚀🌠

Bye bye, Studio C 👋🥲

The mirrors came down today, which is making this whole moving thing feel VERY real.

Also… our new studios are 1, 2, 3 & 4 instead of A, B & C…So please allow approximately 6–8 business months for the SSD team to stop confidently sending you to “Studio C…I mean 3!” 😂😜
