My Story....
I embarked on this wonderful journey of teaching swim lessons on a whim while in college and it has grown into one of the most amazing experiences! I teach full time as a Special Education Teacher and love getting to spend my summers teaching kids how to swim; to be safe in and out of the water. It's so fun to laugh and play with them while teaching them -- sometimes they don't even r

ealize they're learning to swim! I have been Red Cross Lifeguard certified for 15 years and Water Safety Instructor certified for 10 years. I have life-long swim team experience and have been teaching swim lessons the last 9 summers.

So I have some bittersweet news. 💔

Unfortunately, I am having ankle surgery (again) on February 17th, which takes me out of work for 4-6 weeks & also…

🥺 With that being said, I am taking my doc’s recommendation and unfortunately taking a medical break from Laura's Swim Lessons. I don’t know what the future holds for it in later summers, but I want to make sure I am 100% fully healed before I get back in the water. Good news is, that day will come. I’m sad, but it’s been an amazing 12 years of teaching lessons & I hope I can continue to do it again in the future. Thank you to all the swim families for supporting my little business over the years & letting me be the one to teach your children to swim. 🩷

Session 2 (July) started this week for both of our swim lesson partners, Laura's Swim Lessons & Tulsa Lifeguard Pro! We’re proud to continue to offer group and private swim lessons; this is our 3rd season with Ms. Laura and 11th with TLP! 🤩

Visitors to the pool will note that we do host lessons from 5:30-8:30PM on Wednesday evenings, so the pool may be busier than usual during this Open Swim time. Coincidentally, this is the reason we start Adult Swim at 8:30PM! (The vibes do NOT match 😂)

Ms. Laura’s lesson fall during Member Swim T/W/TH with make- ups on the 25th.
