Tulsa Raceway Park and the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, are proud to announce a partnership with two local prominent businessmen and racers, Todd Martin and Keith Haney. On Friday, November 18th, a media announcement was made that detailed the partnership that will revive the NEW Tulsa Raceway Park for several more years through a multi-year lease deal with current owners of the la

nd and facility. Todd Martin and Keith Haney have formed T&K Management Group, LLC, to operate the track for several more years. Both men race on circuits at a national level such as the ADRL, NHRA, and IHRA drag racing competitions. Keith Haney is also the sponsor of the Top Sportsman class for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, as well as a major marketing partner for TRP in past years and will continue to do so through his involvement with the Suburban Chevrolet Bracket Series. Todd Martin stated, “Keith and I are committed to breaking boundaries when it comes to the entertainment headed to this facility. With Keith’s deep roots in this community and our passion for drag racing, we are both happy to be here making this announcement to keep drag racing alive in Tulsa, Oklahoma.” Martin added, “You can count on Tulsa Raceway Park having a new and exciting feel.”

Keith Haney concurred and said his passion is drag racing and his ties to the community through his racing sponsorship and his own interest in drag racing led him to this decision to become a part of the new and improved Tulsa Raceway Park. For 2012, there will be literally something for everyone in the community. Carnivals, mud races, monster trucks, jet cars, concerts, NHRA Divisional event, Harley Drags, bracket racing, and of course, the legendary ThrowDown in T-Town which will remain a free ticket event for spectators. Because of the reputation for the superb quality of the racing surface, Tulsa Raceway Park is already a proven testing ground for many professional drag racers, which include former NHRA Pro Stock Champion, Mike Edwards, as well as Allen Johnson, Dean Goforth, Cary Goforth, and many more well known names in the drag racing field. We are pleased to add additional activities on the grounds that will grow the entertainment value for Tulsa Raceway Park fans, racers, spectators, and the community. Tulsa Raceway Park holds true to the values that drag racers and fans should support those who support the track. We look forward to growing sponsorship and advertising at the track, which will enhance local business economy. Tulsa Raceway Park is a ¼ mile track that runs both 1/8th and ¼ mile events throughout the racing season. Look for the 2012 racing and event schedule to be released soon. You can also meet Keith and Todd at the PRI show in Orlando, beginning November 30th. Tulsa Raceway Park and Stroupe Race Cars will share booth space and be available to answer questions regarding sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Quarter-Max Pro Extreme Exhibition Class Added to Final Two MWDRS Events as Series Evaluates 2027 Expansion

TULSA, Okla. — The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service is proud to announce the addition of the Quarter-Max Pro Extreme Exhibition Class for the final two races of the 2026 season at Tulsa Raceway Park on October 23-24th, and Xtreme Raceway Park November 6-7th.

The new exhibition class is being introduced as part of the MWDRS's continued commitment to growing the sport of drag racing while providing racers with additional opportunities to compete. The two-event trial will allow racers, fans, sponsors, and series officials to evaluate the class before a decision is made on adding it as a full-time championship category in 2027.

"The Mid-West Drag Racing Series has always been about listening to racers and building the sport of drag racing," said Keith Haney, owner of the MWDRS. "Pro Extreme has generated a lot of interest over the years, and we felt the best way to evaluate its future with the MWDRS was to put it on the racetrack. This exhibition gives everyone from the stands to the sponsors an opportunity to see the class in action before we make any decisions for next season."

Quarter-Max Race Cars Excited to Support the New Exhibition Class
Quarter-Max Race Cars, title sponsor of the class, believes the addition could create one of the most exciting new opportunities in doorslammer racing. Owner Clyde Scott wrote the following to racers and fans in anticipation of this partnership:

"Hello racers and race fans, Clyde Scott here with Quarter-Max. I'd like to talk about the potential addition of the Quarter-Max Pro Extreme Class to the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service.

This class holds a special place for me because it's where I started my Pro Mod career. While I enjoy every form of Pro Mod racing, what makes Pro Extreme unique is that it removes many of the power-adder restrictions, helping level the playing field. Teams that may not have years of data or unlimited testing can still be competitive, qualify well, and have a legitimate opportunity to win races.

From a racer's perspective, that's exciting. From a fan's perspective, it creates unpredictable, hard-fought racing that showcases incredible horsepower and talented drivers. Quarter-Max is proud to support this exhibition class, and we're excited to see what the racers and fans think over these final two MWDRS events."

All drivers must hold a valid and appropriate NHRA, IHRA, or PDRA competition license.

Cars must have a valid NHRA, IHRA, or PDRA chassis certification.

Note: An NHRA Chassis Inspector will be available on-site during events. Competitors needing certification or renewal will have the opportunity to have their car inspected at the track.

Looking Toward 2027
Haney believes the partnership with Quarter-Max makes perfect sense as the MWDRS continues to evaluate opportunities for growth.

"Quarter-Max has become one of the premier chassis builders in drag racing, and we're proud to have them involved with this new program. Clyde's passion for the class and understanding of what it can offer racers made Quarter-Max the perfect partner for this exhibition. We want to give racers another place to compete while putting on the best possible show for our fans.

We've never been about adding classes just to add classes. We're going to listen to our racers, our fans, our marketing partners, and our tracks. If everyone believes this class belongs in the MWDRS, we'll seriously evaluate making it part of our 2027 championship lineup."

The MWDRS is also exploring the possibility of adding the Quarter-Max Pro Extreme Exhibition Class to the September Smackdown race at Flying H Drag Strip. The series is currently working to secure additional sponsorship support that would allow the class to compete at that event. A final decision is expected in the coming weeks. While the September event remains under evaluation, the Quarter-Max Pro Extreme Exhibition Class is officially confirmed for the October 23-24 event at Tulsa Raceway Park and the November 6-7 season finale at Xtreme Raceway Park.

Feedback from competitors, sponsors, promoters, and fans during the final two events will play a major role in determining whether the class becomes an official points category for the 2027 season and beyond.
