Adaptive Roots is a method for delivering movement education. A mixture of Art Du Deplacement/Parkour, the Natural Method, creative contact, and advanced movement screening. The main focus of the practice is to empower the individual through movement. Learning practical movement skills in a wide range of environments is where we begin to enhance the mind body connection and open up new ideas and l

imitless possibilities that once were hidden. With scalable and progressive strength and conditioning routines we continuously challenge and increase our adaptability to the world around us. This approach is open and welcoming for everyone to learn, move, and play. No matter your age, weight, physical abilities, or any other perceived limitations everyone can find something positive to take from an Adaptive Roots experience. The method puts a large emphasis on physical conditioning and training the body to be strong to be useful but the importance of play and exploration and the creative art of human movement hold equal value. The core of our process is fostering a child like since of wonder and breaking free from the mental conditioning of modern society while building rapid neuroplasticity. Adaptive Roots is simply a launchpad, an open mindset to everything the world has to offer. Ownership of your movement gives you the freedom to take your practice in any direction you choose. Just as every personal practice will evolve so will the Adaptive Roots method.

One of the pillars of the Peaceful Warrior Projects is our community events.

We do hard things together, challenge ourselves and grow as a community. When you sign up for our classes it’s not just for the kids. Family engagement is paramount in the course. We have weekly home practice activities to reinforce and engage the parents in the SEE Learning skills and concepts from class.

Our age 7-11 classes start on March 21st. Register your family now!

Peaceful Warriors is about building Resilience, Compassion, and Awareness in every step we take.

My first real spiritual practice is my practice and art of parkour.
Parkour is the art of knowing yourself better. Facing your fears, knowing them, befriending them, laughing with them, kissing them on the forehead and holding them close.
If you do this consistently you will build Resilience.

Parkour is an open mindset gateway drug!

It has lead me to so many other wonderful growth practices and the Tulsa community thrives on this growth mindset ethos.

I am so grateful and inspired by my community here in Tulsa. There are many Peaceful Warrior Projects in the works and the Peaceful Warrior team is excited to share our passions with you.

The Hip Hop Dance Off was a blast! It was such a joy to watch Bodhi and Levi display so much courage and openness in their 1 v 1 dance battle.

Peaceful Warriors Dance Off

With Carrie Holmes & Temple of Dance
Saturday February 5th
1pm - 2:30pm

Students will learn a handful of introductory and foundational hip-hop dance moves, then practice different ways of connecting the moves together, as well as creating their own moves. They will learn about the history and culture of hip-hop and street style dance and about dance battles. At the end of the class, students will be invited to enter the one vs one (or maybe two vs two) dance battle if they want to put their skills to the test! Or they're welcome to cheer on everyone else!

Ages 6-12
Cost: $10 per
