Classes are cancelled this evening. The roads are a mess. I’ll see everyone Tuesday and Wednesday for regular classes, and then again on Monday the 4th when we start the New Year. Thank you for being a student!

It isn't a victim's responsibility to stop a bully. It's a bully's parents, teacher, school system, bystanders and community's responsibility to stop the bully.

Of course everyone needs to be confident, but when a child being bullied and we tell them to "suck it up" or "Stand up for themselves", we are really telling them, "You're on your own."

This isn't ok.

Sometimes our instructors don't say "normal" things in class. Sometimes we don't say "Suck it up" or "be a man". We say things like "pink is a color, not a girl's color" and "making other people's lives better is your main purpose in life".

Sounds strange for a Martial Arts class, sure. But it's about fostering a generation of people who think of others, consider others' feelings, and work toward interconnectedness with their peers. THIS is why that's important:
