Splash Island Tullahoma Join us, cool off and enjoy Splash Island! Splash Island is an outdoor pool operated by Tullahoma Parks and Recreation.

Originally an Olympic sized pool built in the late 1970's, Splash Island reopened in June of 2015 after undergoing a complete renovation. The new multi-use pool includes a splash pad, three 25 foot tall water slides, and a 300 foot lazy river. The concession stand offers plenty of poolside treats as well as healthy and fresh options.

City business offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day holiday.
- Splash Island will be open for its final weekend of 2026. Check with Parks and Recreation for hours of operation.
- No garbage or recycle routes are affected by the holiday that week. Put your carts up on the usual days.
- The drop-off recycle center at Public Works will be closed.
- Our first responders always stand ready to assist, and we are grateful for their service.

Tullahoma Police and Fire would like to remind everyone to be safe on the roads. Expect there to be additional traffic over the weekend. Buckle up, slow down, drive focused, and if your plans include any adult beverages, have a plan and designate a sober driver to get you home safely.

Also, from our friends at the TWRA, Labor Day is a big weekend for our waterfronts. Be safe on the water! Be sure everyone on board has a properly fitted life jacket, check the weather forecast, and review your boat’s safety equipment—including lights, horns, and emergency supplies.

Before you drive off or cast off, take a moment to make safety your top priority this Labor Day weekend. Be safe, Tullahoma.

Hello Tullahoma - from our latest weather briefing, it appears the heat is going to be hanging around for a few days. Please use caution working and playing outdoors this weekend. Stay hydrated, take breaks, and never, ever, ever leave children or pets in an unattended vehicle for any length of time or reason. Be safe and stay cool!

Operating a public pool is not as simple as it sounds. There is a tremendous amount of work involved behind the scenes that involves many people and processes that most do not ever see. We're just a few weekends away from the end of our pool season this year. While 2026 had some challenges with weather, it was a great pool season! School is back in session, which means the roads will be busy in the mornings and afternoons, more than usual. Remember that there will be new drivers on the road, parents are learning new routes to and from schools, kids will be walking or on bikes, and school zone speed limits will be active again.

We need you to drive safely, Tullahoma. Leave earlier than you might need to in case of extra traffic. Wear your seatbelts and pay attention to speed limit signs. Be patient in traffic, and be courteous to people changing lanes or turning across oncoming traffic. Keep your head on a swivel for little ones walking or biking to school. Stay focused and be observant! No distracted driving! New school years are stressful for everyone. Do all you can do to make sure everyone has a good start back to school and drive safely.
