Stafford Hills Club began as a simple idea – that like-minded people wanted and needed a family-friendly place to gather to stay active, have fun and make new friends. So local community leaders Jim and Marla Zupancic spent years listening to community members, personal trainers and club owners, as well as traveling across the globe to learn how to successfully build a great club community. After

years of due diligence they brought together an incredibly talented team of seasoned professionals to create a very special community – Stafford Hills Club. It is much more than a place of activity or even a club – it is a community of friends who enjoy participating together in an active, healthier way of living.

Meet Robbie, the newest pro on our team! 🎾

Robbie grew up in Beaverton, Oregon, competing in junior tennis tournaments throughout the Pacific Northwest before heading off to play Division I tennis at the University of Northern Colorado, where he competed at #2 singles and #1 doubles.

Tennis runs in the family. His dad has been a fixture in the Portland tennis community for 40 years, and both his brother and sister teach the game too. Now Robbie’s bringing that same passion to Stafford Hills, working with players of every age and skill level who are excited to improve their game, and you can catch him leading our new Sunday 3.0+ Drill and Play class at 9:15am!

Off the court, you’ll find him outdoors or hunting down Portland’s best food spots.

SHC DOES HTC brought their A game to Hood to Coast this weekend 🗻🌊 Dark and early on Mt. Hood, all the way to the finish line in Seaside, this team ran with everything they had. Huge shoutout to Wendi for leading the charge as our veteran runner and to Kelsey for a killer first year on the team. And a big cheers to Clayton, repping SHC on another team out there this year. If you know, you know: this place runs on Marilyn. Ten years of her, and we're celebrating big today. 🎉 She's the one who notices everything before you do, the burnt out lightbulb, the low paper towels, the fact that you've been having a rough week. She's mom to everyone around here, but especially to our summer facilities crew, the one making sure their day starts bright and ends even better, the one they know they can always go to. Ask her about any member and she'll probably tell you their name, their kids' names, and what's going on in their life right now. She's also, without a doubt, the reigning queen of staff pranks (Brian knows). And if you catch her a little too far into a cold brew, hold on tight, because you're getting the fast-talking, all-in, full-hearted version of Marilyn we all secretly love best. Ten years of showing up, loving big, and making this place feel like home for every single person in it. We love you, Marilyn. Here's to ten more. 💙🎉
