🌪️ What an incredible weekend at the WSTA & E3 Conference on Science Education! 🚀

Instructor TK Kopp and GM Sandra Krager had an amazing time representing iFLY — connecting with passionate STEM educators from across Washington and sharing how iFLY brings science to life in the wind tunnel.

Our STEM field trips aren’t just about learning — students and teachers get to fly! ✈️ It’s hands-on science at its best, exploring physics, motion, and engineering concepts in real time.

We loved sharing our STEM class videos and seeing the excitement from educators ready to inspire their students through flight.

Here’s to sparking curiosity and empowering the next generation of scientists and explorers — one flight at a time!

🛠️ Behind The Fans ⚙️

In this series of posts, we want to give you a look at some of the inner workings of the wind tunnel and share some perspectives you don’t normally get to see!

Any idea where this picture was taken? It’s kind of a confusing perspective of the tunnel. Today, we are down in the Inlet Contractor. We are below the flight chamber looking straight up towards the top turning veins.

The Inlet Contractor is designed to speed up the air as it moves through the system by reducing the volume of space that it is moving through. It’s like an upside down funnel!
