Level 1 Certification Course Description:
The Level 1 training targets the knowledge and skills to operate and manage risks of challenge course elements. This comprehensive course covers both Low and High elements, and includes curriculum regarding Inspections, Gear/Equipment, Belaying, Knot-tying, Low Element Facilitation, Experiential Theory, and Emergency Action Plans. At the conclusion, practitioner will have the tools to operate most educational/recreational course elements and the knowledge to test for Level 1 certification.
Certification Pre-requisites:
Minimum age of 18
No experience required (Level 1)
*This course is not intended to prepare you to train others. It focuses on core technical skill proficiency to prepare you to deliver routine programming (Level I).
Non-Certification Options: If you do not meet the prerequisites or do not wish to take the Certification test, you may still take the course for Audit credit.
Level 2 Certification Course Description:
The Level 2 training targets the knowledge and skills for responding to non-typical situations and participants and for the mentorship of other practitioners. The goal of Level 2 training is to equip practitioners with a range of practical tools as well as the critical problem-solving for problem-solving unusual or emergency scenarios. At the conclusion, practitioners will have the knowledge to test for Level 2 certification.
Certification Pre-requisites:
Minimum age of 21
200+ hours of documented Program Delivery
Documentation of past formal training and skills verification in challenge course operations from an ACCT PVM.
*While this course is not intended to prepare you to train others, it prepares you to supervise and mentor other practitioners. (Level II)
