Today, we recognize World Autism Day and stand together in support of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for individuals with autism. 💙

At Saguaro Aquatics, our Sonoran Dolphins program is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every swimmer can grow in confidence, develop life-saving water skills, and feel a true sense of belonging.

We’re excited to continue that mission in our community! Join us on April 25 at the All in for Autism Dino Day & Walk. We’ll be at the Resource Fair and featured in the Dino Hunt game. We would love to see you there!

Water safety isn’t one-size-fits-all, especially for children with ASD.

We are coming together with Swim Dynamic and United Way Children’s Resource Center to host a live Adaptive Water Safety Webinar focused on drowning prevention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental, sensory, and physical differences.

This webinar goes beyond basic water safety rules. We’ll talk about:

✨ Common triggers and behaviors that impact water safety
✨ Practical, realistic strategies you can use at home and in your community
✨How to create layered safety plans that support both safety and independence

Meet Adam — Our SD Team Lead!

Adam is an important part of our Friday crew and brings great energy, leadership, and encouragement to every class. He’s been with Saguaro Aquatics for over a year and is SD certified, a trained lifeguard, and one of the coaches for our Adult SD Aqua Aerobics class.

His positivity and dedication help swimmers feel confident, supported, and motivated in the water — we’re so grateful to have him on our team!

Ash has been part of the Saguaro Aquatics family for over two years and plays a huge role in the success of our Sonoran Dolphins program. From coaching to leading, she keeps everything running smoothly while helping swimmers and coaches reach their full potential.

Her organization, leadership, and care make a lasting impact on our team every day — we’re so grateful to have her as part of the Saguaro Aquatics family!

Coach Jeff brings dedication, patience, and heart to every Sonoran Dolphins lesson. He works closely with our swimmers, helping each child build confidence and joy in the water through encouragement and individualized support.

As one of our team leads, Jeff continues to set the standard for teamwork, creativity, and compassion in our program. Thank you, Coach Jeff, for all that you do to make a difference!

The 2025 Special Olympics was such a success, and we’re so proud to have been part of it! Saguaro Aquatics had the honor of volunteering this year, and we can’t wait to come back and support again next year!

Dive into fitness with our new Sonoran Dolphin Aqua Aerobics class! Designed for students 16+ with autism or other intellectual disabilities, join Coach Mary for a fun and supportive 45-minute session once a week. With an 8:1 student-to-coach ratio, you’re in great hands!

We are offering a BRAND NEW CLASS!

This is a 3 week aqua aerobics pilot class for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.

When & Where:
Saturdays, January 11th, 18th and 25th
3:30 PM - 4:15 PM
9260 N Thornydale Rd, Tucson AZ

What to expect:
Class ratio is 1 coach/6 clients, taught by Coach Mary
This class will allow clients the opportunity to build strength and conditioning while enjoying community within the water and have fun!

The registration fee will be waved for this class and we are offering it at a REDUCED RATE of $15/class. You can sign up on our website linked in our bio.
