✨ Senior Spotlight: Melayna Matheson ✨

One of our longest-standing DF-1 dancers, we are so grateful to have watched her grow up into the smart, talented, and incredible young woman she is today.

We know she’s destined for amazing things, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds. We love you, Melayna! 💜

Melayna’s Thank Yous:
Ms. Natalie, thank you so much for always pushing me to do my best, both in dance and as a person. Your support, encouragement, and expectations have helped me grow so much.

Ms. April, thank you for creating the studio and environment that helped raise me. I will never forget all of the character building lessons you taught us.

Ms. Lauren, thank you so much for your endless support and compassion. I will never forget my first solo practices, where I gained the confidence to go on stage solo and perform.

Ms. Courtney, thank you so much for choreographing solos for me, helping me develop my dance style and personal character.

K is truly a one-in-a-million senior. Thank you for being such an important part of DF-1. We love you, we’re so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. 💜

Katelynn’s thank yous:

Ms. Lauren, thank you for believing in me since the day I walked into DF-1. You’ve always made me feel supported and confident in myself, and I’ll always be grateful for that.

Ms. April, thank you for making DF-1 feel like a second home. You created such a special environment for all of us, and I’m really thankful I got to grow up here.

Ms. Natalie, thank you for all the laughs, inside jokes, and memories over the years. You’ve always been someone I could count on, and being your student has meant so much to me. You can stay with me forever.

Ms. Courtney, thank you for being my solo teacher these past three years and for always pushing me to be better. You’ve helped me grow so much, not just as a dancer but as a person too.

This year, DF-1 Summer Intensive is offering TWO weeks of training for even more flexibility and opportunities to learn. Join us for inspiring classes with incredible guest teachers, explore new styles, strengthen your technique, and stay performance-ready during the break.

✨ New this year! ✨ As a special addition to our Summer Intensive, dancers will have the opportunity to participate in a professional photo shoot on July 17 & 18. It’s a fun way to celebrate all of your hard work and create some incredible dance memories!
