Listen, Douglas isn’t cool.

It’s raw.

A real border town shaped by ranchers, miners, railroad workers, and generations of people living where two countries meet.

It isn’t polished. It isn’t curated for Instagram.

And honestly? That’s exactly why we love it.

Borderlands Gravel isn’t about creating an experience that could happen anywhere.

It’s about experiencing a place that couldn’t exist anywhere else.

We’ll see you in Douglas this November.

There are few better ways to end a gravel ride than with a cold beer and good conversation.

Last year, Tirrito Farm out of Willcox helped riders celebrate a big day on the bike with a great selection of locally crafted beers and plenty of borderlands hospitality.

We’re grateful for their support and for helping make race weekend feel a little more welcoming.

Thank you, Tirrito Farm.

Not all November gravel looks the same.

Douglas, Arizona, offers a different kind of experience.

Dry roads. Big skies. Mild temperatures. Endless miles of rugged desert gravel.

If you’re looking to extend your riding season, the borderlands are waiting.

Most people picture Arizona as endless heat.

Douglas is different.

Sitting around 4,000 feet in elevation between the Sonoran and Chihuahuan Deserts, the BorderLands Gravel region brings crisp mornings, wide-open skies, rugged mountains, and long stretches of remote gravel roads that feel untouched by time.

By mid-November, riders can roll out in arm warmers at sunrise and finish the day under perfect desert riding temperatures.

This isn’t the Arizona most people expect.

We know that many gravel races start with a countdown.

Before the race begins, BorderLands Gravel starts with an international parade lap through Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.

And yes … we’re doing it again this year.

Before riders disappear into the remoteness of the borderlands, we roll together through a community that has long been connected to Douglas through culture, history, family, and everyday life.

Riders from both sides of the border ride together.

This is BorderLands Gravel.
