Featuring three locations, we employ professional swimming instructors who have at least two years of teaching experience prior to joining the Saguaro Aquatics team. Happy Labor Day from Saguaro Aquatics!

Today, we’re especially thankful for the amazing team behind Saguaro Aquatics! Thank you to our coaches, lifeguards, client services team, managers, and staff for the hard work, dedication, and care you bring to our swimmers and families each and every day. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

Just a reminder that both Saguaro Aquatics locations are CLOSED today, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

🐬 Sonoran Dolphins Friday: Meet Amari! 💙

This week, we’re celebrating Amari and the incredible progress she has made since joining Saguaro Aquatics in June! 🌵💦

Amari’s family first discovered Saguaro Aquatics at a local autism event, and since beginning her swim journey, she has made amazing strides both in and out of the water. Going underwater was initially a challenge, but with patience, encouragement, and lots of hard work, Amari has continued to build her confidence and reach new goals. 💪

Her family shared that swimming has helped Amari practice taking direction, interacting with her peers, setting goals, and actively participating in an activity she enjoys. And in August, all of that hard work led to an exciting milestone, graduating to her next swim level! 🎉🏊‍♀️

We are so proud of Amari and grateful to be a part of her journey. Every accomplishment, big or small, is worth celebrating, and we can’t wait to see what she does next! 💙

This Wellness Wednesday, we’re celebrating Betty and the everyday victories that make progress so meaningful! 🌵💧

When Betty first joined our Wellness Aquatics program, she used a cane for additional support and began with private sessions. As she progressed into group classes, Theraquatics was initially a challenge, but Betty continued showing up, challenging herself, and growing stronger.

One accomplishment Betty shared with our Wellness Aquatics Manager, Karen, has been especially meaningful to her: being able to reach her arm up to the latch and open the door to the pool room on her own. 💗

It may seem like a simple everyday task, but for Betty, it represents the increased mobility, strength, confidence, and independence she has worked so hard to achieve.

Today, Betty participates in multiple Wellness Aquatics classes, and we are so proud of how far she has come. We’re grateful to be a part of her journey and can’t wait to celebrate even more victories with her!

🌵💗 Celebrating our August Swimmers of the Month: Macie & Autumn! 💗🌵

⭐️ Macie came to Saguaro Aquatics feeling nervous about returning to swim lessons after a previous experience elsewhere. After just one lesson with Coach Alfred, everything changed! She left excited, confident, and looking forward to coming back. In only two weeks, Macie progressed from Teddy Bear Cholla to Golden Barrel! ⭐ Her family says her confidence has grown 100%, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come in such a short time!

⭐ Autumn recently graduated from Parent & Tot 2 with Coach Sammy and has officially started Tumbleweed! 🎉 She’s already showing off her skills with an independent back float, monkey walks, climb outs, little popcorns, and both nose and mouth bubbles. Autumn is fearless, eager to learn, and, most importantly, has so much fun every time she’s in the water!

Congratulations, Macie & Autumn! Your confidence, progress, and love for swimming are exactly what we love celebrating. Keep making waves! 🌵🌊

Throughout the summer, we’ve shared safety skills, tips, and reminders to help families feel more confident and prepared around the water. From practicing essential skills to building safer everyday habits, every small action can make a life-saving difference. 💗

While our Water Safety Saturday series may be coming to an end, water safety never takes a season off. Keep staying close, staying alert, swimming with a buddy, using properly fitted life jackets, and continuing to build water competency through swim lessons. 🏊‍♀️

As one of our Sonoran Dolphins Team Leads, Maile brings a gentle, calm, and supportive approach to every swimmer she works with. After more than two years with Saguaro Aquatics, she continues to be a hardworking, dependable teammate who is always ready to support both our swimmers and staff. 🌵
