We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. At Sweet Science Boxing 520, our ultimate goal has always been to champion the cause of health and wellness within our community. Today, more than ever, our community finds itself engaged in a fierce battle for its very existence. The health crisis looms large, with obesity and childhood obesity rates soaring at an alarming pace. Furthermore, we are confronted with a perilous and deadly drug epidemic that claims the lives of our community members every passing second.

But let it be known that our mission extends far beyond the realm of honing perfect heavy bag techniques or achieving victory in amateur boxing tournaments. Our mission is, at its core, a vital crusade to save lives and create a nurturing environment for the generations to come. We are committed to shaping a brighter future, one where our children and elders thrive in a stronger, healthier community. Together, we will continue to fight the good fight, united in our unwavering resolve to make a lasting and positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

In this picture, I'm surrounded by a remarkable group of individuals whom I deeply admire and respect. They embody a diverse range of professionals, from hardworking individuals excelling in their careers to ambitious small business owners, dedicated accountants, skilled barbers, and driven college athletes. What sets them apart is their unwavering commitment and determination to achieve their goals, which begins with the discipline to rise at 4 in the morning.

These extraordinary individuals refuse to let excuses or self-pity hold them back. While many express their desires for success, they often falter when confronted with difficult choices, such as waking up a little earlier to work towards their dreams. Instead, they resort to the overused refrain, "Oh, that's way too early for me! I'll come in the evening." Unfortunately, by allowing themselves to make excuses in one aspect of their lives, it becomes a slippery slope that leads to further delays and missed opportunities.

A single excuse quickly snowballs, transforming a long day at work or school into yet another reason to procrastinate: "Well, I'll go tomorrow." And before they know it, "tomorrow" becomes "next week." Eventually, the mounting pressure of time constraints forces them to cancel altogether, claiming they simply lack the time. Alternatively, it manifests as a defeated mindset that whispers, “just quit…”

Stop listening to your own whispers!

First and foremost, I take zero credit for this man's accomplishments. Those go to him first, then his family, and then his trainers and teammates who helped push him along the way.

What I do want to talk about is his work ethic, relentlessness, and his willingness to be uncomfortable. Not many high-level athletes, like Stan, are able to put themselves in a position where they have to be not good at something. It's an uncomfortable feeling to put yourself in a position where you have to learn something new from scratch. But this man is doing it, and the fruit that will come from his hard work will be sweeter than ever!

We're just starting, but by the end, he will have the ability to do things he's never done before.

Adults and youth, take notice. What we want is much different from what we are willing to do to acquire it. We let a bunch of excuses enter our brains. I challenge you to stop making excuses and just start somewhere. Be comfortable with not being good at something."

Youth sizes through 2XL will be $30

Anything 3XL and above will be $37.

Shirts are a 60/40 blend.

Once you’ve chosen your size and paid that is the size you get. You won’t be able to exchange it for a different size because it’s a pre order and pay.
