Maintain flexibility of elbows and wrists with consistent practice and awareness. It's common to lock up at the joints and bounce together with the body. During lessons, we regenerate the awareness and feel around joints you use without thinking.

🐴 Stop just hopping on and hoping for the best.
Lunging isn’t “just circles.”
It’s the secret weapon that builds a stronger, softer, more focused horse — without you even sitting in the saddle
We do 5 laps on each gait - walk, trot and canter. Sometimes incorporate poles for feet awareness.
Here’s why the best riders never skip it:
✅ Builds real topline + hindquarter strength
✅ Teaches balance & self-carriage (no rider weight in the way)
✅ Installs rock-solid voice commands
✅ Gets the freshness out safely so you get a better ride
✅ Reveals subtle soundness issues before they become big problems
Young horse? Recovery work? Short on time?
Lunging delivers results faster than most people realize.
Drop a 🔥 if you lunge at least once a week
Tag your barn bestie who still thinks lunging is “optional” 👇
Save this for the next time your horse feels fresh 🧠

Spring Training is almost here… and Arizona is about to come alive.

If you’re heading out to catch the Diamondbacks, Giants, Cubs, Rangers, Royals, or Brewers, don’t just stop at the ballpark.

Make it a full Arizona experience.

After the crack of the bat and the seventh-inning stretch, trade the stadium seats for saddle time. 🐎☀️ Come ride with us at Rose Riding in Tucson and see the desert the way it was meant to be seen — wide open, unforgettable, and just a short road trip away.

Baseball + blue skies + horseback riding.
That’s a home run weekend.
