As some of you have already been told, after 24 years at HomeTown Sporting Goods, I am retiring. Its been exciting and a wild ride. Being in Trussville and Surviving a Flood in May of 2003, the current administration, The pandemic of 2020, it is time for me to go to the lake and take it easy.
Over the years I have met some great people who I now call friends and it is hard to say goodbye. Many of you have been with me from the day you came to town. I will be closing the store and clearing out all existing inventories, displays, shelves and equipment. For those customers who have items on order, I will remain open until every order is completed and filled. I don’t expect to actually lock the doors until sometime in July. I need to express my gratitude to Chris Egan, who has been my manager for 23 years, without her this would have turned into a real job. As most of you know she was the one getting things done for a long time. I need to thank all my Coaches and customers, who have supported HomeTown and made things enjoyable throughout the years. As we all know as time goes on and things change, we all must change or leave, I now choose to leave and let this new industry to be managed by others. Best wishes to all..
