Trussville Youth Volleyball Academy - TYVA

We had a blast at TYVA Summer Camp for the last three days! Our players had a great time with playing volleyball-themed relays, learning the foundations of the game, positions, scrimmages, skill work, and we finished camp playing 6 on 6!

We are so thankful for our players who came to learn and have fun, and for our coaches who poured so much into our players the last three days!

TYVA’s Rec season will be starting later this fall, stay tuned for more updates!

A huge congratulations to Elle Buckner and Peyton Duckett for placing 2nd, and qualifying for USAV nationals at the Birmingham Beach USAV Bid Night Tournament in Pelham!

This is our SECOND Trussville Beach pair to qualify for nationals this season. We are so proud of all of our players’ growth through this season, and for all of their accomplishments!

Our girls finished 1st and 3rd in 14U in Cartersville this weekend!

Despite being informed our beach program will be terminated at the end of the month, we are so proud our players’ growth and progress!

For our Trussville Volleyball Club/Trussville Beach families and fans:

Yesterday, unfortunately, we were informed that our department will discontinue Trussville Volleyball Club and Trussville Beach going forward.

What does this mean for players/parents?

For TVC: Tryouts have been cancelled, and we will not participate in the 2027 season. Our club director Fredrick is in the process of issuing tryout refunds, and parents/guardians who have signed up for any age tryouts should see refunds shortly!

For Trussville Beach: Practices will continue as scheduled through the end of the season (this month), after which the program will also be discontinued.

While this is not what we had hoped for, this isn’t the end of volleyball in Trussville — just the end of a fun chapter. The last five years have been a blast, and we’ll miss all of you!

Trussville Beach Volleyball Practice begins next week which can only mean one thing, TVC Tryouts are just around the corner!
