Southern Connecticut Pop Warner is pleased to announce that the Robert C. Boss, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Application is now available.

The Robert C. Boss, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Robert C. Boss Jr., a former Southern Connecticut Pop Warner President. This academic scholarship will be awarded to high school graduates who participated in a Pop Warner Association as a football player or cheerleader and who plan to enroll in a college, university, vocational/technical/trade school, or apprenticeship program.

I have attached a copy of the scholarship application for your association to share with eligible seniors. The application can also be found on the SCPW website under the Forms tab.

Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Association must be a current member of Southern Connecticut Pop Warner

• Be a high school senior planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at a college, university, vocational/technical/trade school, or apprenticeship in the fall immediately following graduation

• Have participated in a Pop Warner Association for a minimum of three (3) years (excluding coach, volunteer, or Student Demonstrator roles)

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Application Must Include

• Completed application

• Current school transcript (non-official is acceptable)

• Three written recommendations

◦ Two recommendations from non-family members (guidance counselors, teachers, employers, etc.)

◦ One recommendation from the Pop Warner association in which the applicant participated

📅 Application Deadline: March 31, 2026
