The region’s premier club for soccer development, training, and competition. Welcome to the Truckee River United Futbol Club!

Truckee River United Football Club started in the early 2000s as Sierra Mountain Soccer Club based in Truckee, CA. The club aimed to provide a higher level of competitive soccer to the Reno-Tahoe area. The club is set up as a 501 c (3) non-profit organization and runs under the guidance of a Board of Directors that oversees the professional staff of coaches and club administrators. Truckee River U

nited FC fields competitive teams from U10-U19 in boys and girls divisions. The club plays in NorCal Premier, Nevada Selecy, and Great Basin Youth Soccer Leagues, affording teams various competitive options. Truckee River United FC teams have performed very well at Nevada, California, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah tournaments. Club teams have also participated in numerous State Cup Tournaments. Our ultimate goal is to build people, not just athletes. While focusing on skills learned on the field, our club also encourages athletes to lead, act with integrity, and build confidence with preparation to increase decision-making capabilities. It's a light game weekend for TRUFC, with just two of our teams taking the field this Saturday!

🧠⚽️ Training More Than the Feet

Soccer is a game of constant decisions. Where is the space? Where is the pressure coming from? Should I pass, dribble, shoot, or move? What happens next?

That's one reason TRUFC uses the TOVO Method in our approach to player development. We want athletes learning to read the game, make decisions, solve problems, and then execute.

Technical ability matters—but knowing when, where, and why to use it matters too.
We're developing soccer players who can think, adapt, and play. 💙
