One of the best! The Donner Lake Triathlon is a favorite California Triathlon of many triathletes. T Welcome to the Donner Lake Triathlon. Kids race too.

The sprint and international/Olympic and Half distance races feature one of the most beautiful and challenging courses triathlon has to offer. Each year hundreds come to take on and enjoy these races. The swim is in the clean and clear fresh water alpine lake. The bike features scenic old Highway 40. And the run has endless sierra views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

📣Training Tip 📣

The Donner Lake Triathlon takes place at more than 6,000 feet above sea level. Ideally, if you have the time and resources, athletes should plan a training camp at altitude 4-5 weeks before the race. This allows your body enough time to acclimatize to the thinner air, which will boost your red blood cell production and enhance your endurance on race day. 🏊‍♀️🏃🚴‍♂️💪
