Professional fishing guide out of Truckee, fishing Donner, Boca and Stampede. For rates and booking Rods, gear and cleaning of fish provided.

We can take up to 3 people per fishing outing on a 21' North River Seahawk. Catch mackinaw up to 25 lbs, kokanee salmon and rainbow trout in one of California's most beautiful areas for one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Licensed/bonded and insured. Please bring:
-california fishing license
-ice chest to keep your catch [leave in car]
-warm clothing, hat, sunglasses
-camera
-sunscreen
-children's life vests for kids under 13
-anything you might want to eat or drink

Fishing is on!! With the lack of snow, the season has started early. I'm hoping for a rebound on size from the kokanee but that is yet to be determined. Spots are available but filling. Give me a call if you would like to get out this season.

Fish-Field has always, in my opinion, over delivered quality for the money. They first caught my eye with their tornado swivels which are a chain swivel. The best price and quality in my opinion. They just launched their "micro squids." I love the colors of both the micros and sizes above that and they charge less than $5 for a pack of 6. Had an awesome couple out this morning. They wanted something a little bigger than the stampede kokes. and never been on donner. They were on time at 4:45 and ready to get the chance at a big one. Although we didnt get the big guy, they did catch a couple decent ones. Got out of there before the craziness. Lamiglas CG80GH was the perfect rod for these guys. Super sensitive with a good back bone.

I will always guide my son first, especially on Father's Day. Fishing is wide open. I'm filling up fast, but if you want to beat the heat and catch some great tasting Kokanee, give me a shout.

Besides the Mack's Lure Cripplure, the Humdinger is one of the deadliest lures against most fish in CA, and even in Pyramid Lake, NV. This was the top producing lure over the weekend and running it naked allows you to feel 100% of the fish fighting. The Humdinger in combination with Pro-Cure Bait Scents Trophy Trout, the trout couldn't resist it. Check them out and add a few to you arsenal at mackslure.com

Still a few more weeks left. Fish are in good shape. This has been hands down the best setup for me this year. Pink/Chartreuse combo is very underrated.

Fishing at Stampede has been 🔥. Early, cool mornings and fast limits before the crazies arrive. Macks lure glow Koke-a-nut behind a slingblade. Simple

Easy limits at stampede today before the wind came up. Once again biggest was 13", but the meat is absolutely amazing for this time of year. Not sure if the picture even does it justice. Mack's Lure glo hook koke-a-nut lead the way. For some reason they were barely willing to hit a squid. The were hammering the koke-a-nut behind the pink uv slingblade. Pink, orange and tequila sunrise were the best colors for us. And although the fish were small the Lamiglas classic glass(cg762) provided good action and kept it fun

VETERANS EVENT- STAMPEDE

We are having our annual veterans event at Stampede with Rec 4 Vets scheduled for SATURDAY JUNE 1ST. These events in years past have been nothing short of phenomenal for participants and volunteers alike. Fishing should be solid by then and it's an opportunity to say thank you to our veterans while escaping the heat of the valley. We couldn't do it without our volunteers. So we are looking to get a count of people who are willing to come up with their boat and take some veterans out for a day of fishing on Stampede. We are also looking for some volunteers to stay back and help us BBQ a lunch for everyone in attendance. Please let me know on this post if you are interested in volunteering to say thank you to our veterans and American heroes.

Get the calender out! Tout fishing is starting to heat up locally. Temps are on their way to being prime. Nows the time to book as the season is starting to fill up. Left with 9 beautiful rainbows yesterday. Mack's Lure Humdinger was the ticket. It was an early bite. Lamiglas glasic glass 7'6" was a fun rod to use on these little missiles. These things are delicious with a little Kinders Lemon Pepper.

Relatively easy limits on Friday. Macks Lure mini kokanee pro in pink and chartreuse was top lure. Loving these classic glass rods by Lamiglas. The bigger fish were being pulled up at 50-60'. Stampede is changing daily and what works one day may not work.the next. Fish are already showing signs of turning.
