The son of a Swedish heavy equipment operator, Per Hurtig is grooming for his 8th year at Tahoe Donner Cross Country and enjoys putting out the best product possible every night. He tries to ski the next morning to inspect his work and see if there is anything he can do to improve the grooming quality. In 1985, the Cross Country Ski Area expanded to its current location on Alder Creek Road. It originally operated out of the Tennis Center.
