Stampede Disc Golf Course will be closed to the public August 22 at 11:59 p.m. until September 6 11:59 p.m. due to fire concerns.

This notice is from the Forest Service - Tahoe National Forest, Truckee Ranger District.

Saturday the fire department was called to extinguish a fire on hole 2 at Sierra College. It was determined to be a cigarette butt. We now must put together a prevention plan for the district and insurance company.

No smoking is the simplest method for prevention. The next step is to remove the course at Sierra College.

This can happen at any of our forested courses. Spread the word!

As of today, the state "Stay at Home Order" goes into effect. However, outdoor recreation is allowed, but please us CDC social distancing guidelines.

1) No more than 4 per group.
2) Keep a distance of 6' from all others.
3) Wear masks at all times possible.
4) Do not pick up or touch others discs or equipment.
5) Use hand sanitizer.
6) Do not play if you have Covid-19 symptoms, or have been in contact with someone with symptoms in the past 14 days.

Stampede Disc Golf Course is Closed September 9 at 5:00pm.

All National Forest System roads, trails, and lands within the TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST will be closed beginning at 5:00 p.m. on September 9, 2020.

Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order*:



Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this Order.


Persons with a Forest Service non-special-use written authorization to conduct non-recreational activities, such as harvesting timber or forest products, or grazing livestock.


Owners or lessees of land, to the extent necessary to access their land.


Residents, to the extent necessary to access their residences.


Persons engaged in a business, trade, or occupation are not exempt from the prohibitions listed above, but may use National Forest System roads to the extent necessary to carry out their business, trade, or occupation.


This Order is effective From 5:00 P.M. September 9, 2020 through September 14, 2020

*Regional Order 20-10; Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. 551 and 36 C.F.R. 261.50(a) and (b), 36 C.F.R. 261.52(e), 36 C.F.R. 261.54(e), and 36 C.F.R. 261.55(a).

5:15ish start with a fresh set up. $7 to play. I found a Black Wizard with the name Kyle no number this evening. I’ll bring it to doubles tomorrow.
