For generations, kids in Montgomery County have grown up on ball fields, in gyms, on courts, and at the park.
We have baseball fields, softball fields, basketball courts, wrestling mats, football fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, pickleball, and a golf course.
We’ve had coaches who gave their time, parents who spent countless hours in the stands, and players who dreamed about becoming the best athlete they could be.
But something has been missing…A place where all of it can come together.
A place where a kid can come in on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and get in 100 swings…or hit in the golf simulators…or play a 7-on-7…or kick the soccer ball, etc.
We need a place athletes can compete against each other, where families can gather, and where the community can have fun!
That’s what we want Uwharrie Athletics & Event Center to become.
Not just a batting cage or a place to rent space, but a place for our community to host events, play together, for children to learn, compete, and grow!!
Troy has a long history of sports and we are excited to help build the next chapter.
