Kokorokan Karate, located in Troy, NY, is a full contact karate. Kokorokan - meaning β€œThe Way of the Heart" - is a traditional style of martial arts started in March of 1987 by Kaicho Frank Rossetti. Starting in 1969 Kaicho Rossetti studied and taught Kyokushinkai Karate under Tadashi Nakamura for 10 years until Tadashi Nakamura founded The World Seido Karate Organization. Kaicho Rossetti then bec

ome Adirondack Branch Chief of Seido karate, one of the largest branches until 1987. Kaicho won numerous tournaments in both karate and judo and was awarded Most Outstanding Instructor and Most Outstanding Branch Chief by the World Seido Karate Organization. In March of 1987 Kaicho Rossetti founded Kokorokan Karate-do Organization "The Way of the Heart". This style of karate was not so much a change, rather, it was a commitment to the ideas of traditional Japanese Karate.
