Trojan Badminton Club

Troy University Badminton Club Badminton Club is dedicated to those students on campus who have a continuing interest in badminton.

Students who wish to come are free to play the sport with friends on their own, or may ask any of the club board members for instructions and tips regarding the game. There is no need to worry about lack of ability; the students who have come to these joint-meetings vary greatly in technical skill. As a result, we are trying our best to provide enough courts to fully accommodate for the difference

s. We here at Trojan Badminton Club hope that the student body may fully take advantage of this opportunity to try out this unique sport, and we hope that in the process of doing so, all of you may gain a deeper appreciation of the sport and of the fun it entails.

We are putting on our first tournament! These “league” tournaments will be more informal and just for fun/warm up. On March 2nd, there will be the singles tournament, which will be a mix of men’s, women’s, and mixed singles- the style is up to those who come. On March 4th will be the doubles tournament, which will also consist of mens/womens/mixed. The winners will be decided on a point system- whoever has the most points after their matches at the end of the tournament will be the winner. Please message us for any questions!!

Welcome back trojans!! The Badminton Club has a new location and schedule. We will now meet and play in the Elm Street gym, located off campus next to the sorority houses. Our new meet times will be: Monday 4-5:30, Wednesday 3:30-5:30, Thursday 3:30-5:20, and Friday 4-8. We will start meeting next Wednesday, so share and tell your friends and come join us for a new semester of fun!!

The badminton club recently had a mixed doubles tournament, congrats to 1st place winners Ben & Jordyn, 2nd place winners Jonathan & Adi, and 3rd place winners Yichen and Sunnie! Also another congratulations to Jordyn and Kevin for winning first place in the women and mens intramural tournament!

The badminton club is putting on their first tournament of the semester!!! If you would like to participate and have a great time, please email the address listed with your name and partners name! (It is mixed doubles, so 1 girl and 1 guy). Snacks and drinks will be provided, and there will be prizes for 1st-3rd place so come and join!!!

Winners from our 2019 Fall Badminton Tournament! Really thankful for everyone who participated! Our club is really thankful for Confucius Institute for sponsoring the Tournament! Without them, this tournament would have not happened!
