Hi all. Just wanted to share on the main page. We don't use it often but this will be helpful posting here.
Class 1 is the only class that changed so I wanted to repost.
Here is all the Comp information for you to enjoy.

The rules are below and have been updated for Class 1 (C1). Please take a look at these rules and ask any questions you may have.
We will be offering 4 classes – Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 (Open), and Juniors class. Drivers are allowed 1 entry per class.
- Entry fees will be $20 for the first entry and $10 each entry thereafter. Entry fee collected at the comp.
- Children 14 and younger will be charged $10 if their parent(s) sign up.
- There are 75 entries available all classes combined.

- Contestants are NOT allowed to pre-run the comp courses and gates.
- You ARE allowed to run your rig on any part of the course we are not using for the comp.
- DO NOT impede, distract, or interfere with judges or contestants during their run.

New Class 1 rules for 2026.
There are 3 sections to the rules plus info after, please. read all the way through. A bit long but much if it is to help clarify details hopefully for new people.
Rules are simple but TECH IN WILL BE REQUIRED before the comp begins. If a rule is unclear, please ask before comp day. The rigs I’ve seen thus far all fit the rules, don’t overthink it. A stock scx10 Bronco on class 1 tires, a VP Phoenix on c1 tires all meet the rules for examples.
NO SCALE POINTS GIVEN OR COUNTED BESIDES BASIC TECH IN..
1. Basic rules for all rigs:
-Max 4.19 Class 1 tire size.
-Chassis mounted steering servo.
-Front and rear bumpers are required, no less than full width of body. Front MUST extend ahead of front tires. Rear must extend to back edge of rear tires.
- No dig, rear steer, selectable OD, suck down etc. Anything besides steering and winch must be mechanically locked out and unplugged from RX
-"scale" body required, no comp pinched/chopped style bodies will be allowed.
- Must have flat/parallel to the ground skid, any angled skids will not be allowed.
-No split rear driveshaft set ups.
-REAR Shock towers can poke through the bed area if needed but holes must ONLY be just big enough for towers and shocks to fit through without interfering with shock movement. Center of bed must maintain full frame width.
-all bodies must be at least as wide inner track width for full length of body (Or cab if using body/bed exceptions below).
-MUST HAVE 1 SCALE ITEM. Winch/Kinetic do not count for this.
*2. Stock OEM Chassis- Lexan body ALLOWED. Rules below pertain to lexan body use, may ignore for hard body:
-LEXAN BODIES ARE RESTRICTED TO OEM BRAND C-CHANNEL STOCK STEEL CHASSIS ONLY. Absolutely NO aftermarket chassis will be allowed for Lexan body rigs. You can change shock towers, but C-channel frame must be intact and unmodified (except adding screw holes). Flat flush trans skids are allowed.
-No flat plate Chassis rails allowed for Lexan body use even if flat skid regardless of brand.
- must be "scale"ish body, not comp class bodies. 2 exceptions are the Element Ecto and Zuul bodies (and similar) which have scale cabs, but no modifications to these bodies are allowed. Bodies must be FULL ORIGINAL HEIGHT, Windshield etc.
-no modifications to body allowed except minor fender flare trimming, flare must remain mostly intact. Some tire coverage is required but no limit set as more scale bodies will cover tires to some degree and gate spacing limits wheels spacing.
- 4 more scale items for total of 5 required.
-Scale cab with full width/length flat bed or tube bed is allowed (think honcho) but must be separate from frame, cannot be integrated into it/have shocks mounted to it. Flatbed must have sides that come down the sides/back even with bottom of the frame rails and create a fender arch.
3. Aftermarket Chassis- ABSOLUTELY NO LEXAN BODIES ALLOWED.
-ANY RIGS USING ANY AFTERMARKET CHASSIS MUST HAVE FULL HARD BODY. MUST MEET ALL CURRENT SORRCA CLASS 1 REQUIREMENTS. NO SPLIT REAR DRIVESHAFTS.
-Interior with driver required, both must meet SORRCA Requirements (we aren't going to measure, just need to look about the right size)
SCALE ITEM EXAMPLES:
SCALE ITEMS MUST BE 1:10 SCALE TO BE COUNTED.
Lexan interior tray with drivers’ head/shoulders. Jerry can, sand ladders, lights, brake rotors in the wheels, license plate, soda can. All these items count as 1 point each and there of a ton more items as option. Be creative if you want.
These rules are subject to minor changes if we forget something or worded something wrong.
ALL TECH IN RULINGS ARE FINAL. There will be no debate so please use common sense with your builds. Please don’t try to play loop holes with the rules.
No change to the Class 2 and Class 3 (Open) rules from last year. They remain the same.
CLASS 2 RULES
• Chassis must be railed (example SCX10 II or III, Element Enduro, Etc.)
• Maximum tire height is 4.75”.
• Truck MUST have a front bumper at least as wide as the chassis rails. (Chassis braces DO NOT count as a bumper)
• Dig or 4-wheel steer CANNOT be used.
• Gates are 12” apart
CLASS 3 (Open) RULES
• Maximum tire height is 5.75”.
• Either Dig OR 4-wheel steer may be used but not both.
• Gates are 16” apart
CLASS 1 RULES (Added class this year for the comp series)
• Only 15 entries will be accepted for Class 1
-4.19” max tire size, including spare.
-Course gates are to be set at 12”.
---- Comp Scoring Rules ----
Course points and penalties:
-Gate progress(per gate): -2
-Reverse: +1
-Gate marker: +10
-Rollover: +5
-Boundary: +10
-Vehicle touch (reposition): +10
-Use of winch: +3
-Did not finish (DNF): +50 points plus 10 points per gate not progressed.
-Gate to Gate point out is 20 points. After 20 points vehicles will be moved to next gate. No progress points will be assessed for gate.
Penalty Definitions:
Reverse: Anytime that the wheels of the vehicle roll in the reverse direction.
Rollover: +5 points are given when a vehicle must be rolled over by hand. Vehicles that roll but are able to be powered back onto its wheels without hand assistance are not penalized. No reverse penalties are given while a vehicle is attempting to right itself. During a hand rollover, at no time may the vehicle be lifted, slid, or moved in any fashion other than a smooth, continuous roll to the left or to the right side.
Vehicle Touch/Reposition: +10 points are given anytime that a driver touches the vehicle, or the vehicle touches the driver, whether intentional or unintentional. The judge will stop the clock (if time is a factor) whenever a vehicle touch happens. The vehicle is then moved back, by the driver or judge, to the previously cleared gate with the rear axle aligned between the gate markers. If the vehicle cannot be aligned between the gates due to course design, the judge will position the vehicle to the next stable location after the previously cleared gate. This location will then be used for all drivers. Vehicle touches include, but are not limited to, on course repairs, repositions, vehicle falling into the driver, etc. Winching, rollovers, and removing/replacing scale items to be used on the course (i.e., sand ladders) are not to be considered a touch.
Off Course Repairs: (Touch penalty) A driver may call time to make an off-course repair. Repairs must be completed in 30 minutes or the driver will receive a DNF. If the repair is made within the allotted time, the driver must return to the end of the line. The driver will start on the course at the last gate cleared.
Gate Marker: Each gate marker will be comprised of 2 gate markers. Gate markers are assumed to be infinitively tall meaning that they go straight up, forever. All gates must be cleared in the intended direction. Progression through a gate in the wrong direction will receive a +10-direction penalty. The complete vehicle, all four tires, must pass between the gate markers to clear a gate. If either gate marker is hit by any part of the vehicle, the entire gate is dead. All gate markers are live at all times unless they have been deemed dead.
Boundary: +10 points are given when any two wheels of the vehicle cross over a boundary marker. When a boundary is crossed, the judge will stop the clock (if time applies) and move the vehicle back to the previously cleared gate in the same fashion as a reposition.
DNF (Did Not Finish): 50 points minus progress points is given anytime a driver cannot complete a course for any reason.
Winching: A Winch penalty of +3 will be assessed every time the vehicle winch cable is connected/reconnected, or self-recovery tools are positioned/repositioned. If, at any time during the process of removing recovery tools from the vehicle and/or winch line are pulled, the vehicle is moved by any force other than the winch or its own power, a touch penalty will be assessed (see Vehicle Touch rule). All self-recovery tools must be carried on the vehicle.
Dig/Rear Steer (Open Class only): Dig and rear steer are both legal in Open Class only, but only one may be used per course. Once one has been used, use of the other is prohibited. If, at any time on the same course, the driver uses rear steer after using dig or uses dig after using rear steer, a +5-point touch penalty will be given (see Vehicle Touch rule).
Safety Time Out: A driver may call for the judge to stop time so he/she may safely reposition themselves (NOT their vehicle!) on the course. This time is to be used for the purpose of the driver’s safety and may not be used to survey the course or for any other advantage. Once the driver is repositioned, the time will start. However, the judge reserves the right to restart time at any point.
Vehicle Out of Spec If, at any time, a judge has reason to believe a vehicle is out of spec while on course, he/she may call for time to stop. At this point, no additional input is to be given to the vehicle by the driver. The judge will mark the vehicle’s location and remove the vehicle from the course for a tech inspection. If the vehicle has been deemed within spec, the vehicle will be returned to the course at the location marked by the judge and the clock will start as soon as the vehicle moves. If the vehicle is deemed out of spec, the driver must take a repair to correct the issue. If the vehicle cannot be brought back to spec, the driver will receive a DNF for the course. If a vehicle falls out of spec due to breakage while on course and the judge determines that the vehicle has not gained a mechanical advantage, the driver will be allowed to continue.
