Congratulations to Imon Freeman for being named first team All-State by High School OT for the 2025-26 season!!!
Imon finished his Senior season with a perfect 57-0 record and his second state title.

HighSchoolOT's 2025-26 All-State teams are presented by Talk It Out NC and First Carolina Bank.

Spent the day yesterday at Newton-Conover HS getting some mat time with four other wrestling teams. No official team scores kept, just going head to head against teams we normally don’t wrestle during the season. I’m always amazed at how hard our guys will compete and days like this in June will pay dividends in February 🖤💛

Great day yesterday in Charlotte with these guys at Core Wrestling. Quick morning takedown tournament was a good way to gain more experience and see different opponents with different wrestling styles. 🐺🖤💛

Montgomery Central Wrestling would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Julian Combs, his friends, Person High School Wrestling and the entire Person High School community. Wrestling is a small tight knit community and a tragic loss like this is felt in a broader sense than most realize. Several MCHS wrestlers have a personal connection with this young man, whether it was competing against him, warming up with him at some random off season tournament, talking with him at tournaments, text messages and social media exchanges.
