Unfortunately this year the Town of Troutville has opted not to have the traditional festival. Thanks to Pastor Terry and our friends at Outdoor Trails, Hostel, and Duck N Hut Hiker's Hostel, the community is still providing meals and services to the AT thru-hikers coming through Daleville and Troutville this weekend! Outdoor Trails is already looking into having an event for our community and hikers in 2026. We hope you'll stop by the dinner tomorrow and meet some of the men and women making the nearly 2,200 mile trek through 14 states!

Thank you so much for coming out for our 11th Annual Troutville Trail Days festival! We had a wonderful day in the park celebrating the Appalachian Trail and the thru hikers and all of the outdoor resources in our region. We were blessed with booths from some of our local community members, local businesses and artisans, local and regional organizations, and more. We enjoyed incredible music all day from Seph Custer, Daniel McBroom, and the Charissa Joy Trio. There was amazing food and drinks from BOOTLEG BBQ, The Local Lemon, and Gigi’s Walking Desserts. This festival is not possible without all of amazing volunteers and our sponsors Outdoor Trails, New River Electrical, Roanoke Cement, Lumos Fiber, FirstBank, Bank of Botetourt, Virginia Mountain Mortgage, Lanford Brothers, Roanoke Outside, Twin River Outfitters, and Duck N Hut Hiker's Hostel!

Tonight's the night we welcome all the thru-hikers that are in town to join us for dinner at Troutville Town Hall. Come chow down on some home cooking and dessert is always great too. Shuttle's available from Outdoor Trails and Kroger as well as hotels in Daleville/Troutville area. Check your hotel's front desk for all details for the weekend. We also welcome the community to join us to socialize with the hikers and find out where they are from and talk about their journey's so far. See you then!

Where are my Thru-Hikers? What could be better than taking a zero day... getting to leisurely float down the James River in a tube. Sign-up on Saturday starting at 10:00am at the registration table at the entrance to the park. These trips fill up very quickly, so get there right at 10am. We'll see you there!!
