Big news for one of our own! 📣

Yesterday, Montana Outdoor Magazine called to fact-check an article they're writing about James Lacy and his achievements this season.

For a small archery club from a town of fewer than 350 people in Sanders County, this is something we don't take lightly. We are so incredibly grateful for the recognition and humbled that James's story is resonating beyond our little corner of Montana.

James has worked hard, stayed focused, and let his arrows do the talking and we couldn't be more proud to call him one of our SideEyes. 🎯

🏹 TWO SIDEEYES HEADED TO DAYTONA! 🏹

We are beyond proud to announce that James and Garett Lacy have qualified for the 2026 NASP National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida June 18–20!

🥇 James Lacy: 2026 NASP Western States Champion. #1 of 1,232 high school boys. Only his 2nd year competing and the only Western Nationals shooter to qualify for the scholarship shoot-off in Daytona. 🎓

🎯 Garett Lacy: Only his 2nd year competing. Top-25 overall in BOTH Bullseye and 3D as a middle schooler.

These brothers represent everything the Trout Creek Archery Club stands for hard work, heart, and community.

We are incredibly proud to announce the results from the April NASP St. Jude Tournament. Our archers didn’t just shoot for a great cause—they took over the leaderboard!

We are beyond proud of the whole Team!

Students from eight Montana schools competed at the NASP National Tournament last weekend, and what an experience it was!

Montana didn’t just show up - our students competed, outperforming thousands of talented archers from across the country. The highlight? James Lacey from Sanders County took the title of Grand Champion male high school archer overall, beating out top competitors from powerhouse programs.

This is a huge moment, not just for him, but for Montana’s entire archery community. The coaches of Trout Creek Archery Club started their archery program just a few years ago, and now they’re leading one of the best teams in the country.
