Nearly 3000 miles in 2 weeks, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado (worst roads in the US). Plains, beaches, lakes, mountains, hills, cold and hot....we had an amazing time.

Mount Rushmore!!!! Don Juan DeMonaco legged it up the big hills to get us to see the faces in the mountain. (The greeter at the monument asked if we were moving a house. Lol.) It was beautiful! And crowded. Haha! Black hills didn't disappoint! We lucked into a super nice camping area (Rushmore Shadows) outside of Rapid City, SD. And we got some much needed stress relief in the swimming pool and on the playground. Then ICECREAM! Gage sang "I Love The Mountains" while he was striding on his bike, serenading all the neighbors. That told me he was having fun. One of the goals for this little venture. But now, homeward bound!
