Woke up with a heavy heart. As I begin to plan my martial arts re-opening in another county marketing, I can’t help but think about my friends who lost their dojo during the ridiculously long lockdowns and terr8ble economy we are experiencing. Hurricanes and other natural disasters My love to all of you out here sacrificing it all for a dream No one else can see but you.
Dojo that I have been to, trained in, taught in and made lifelong friends at.
Dojo who’s energy was full of passion, life and dedication.
Dojo that blessed the members of their community with lessons on character development, leadership and goal setting.
Dojo that were the fruition of someone’s childhood dream to become a sensei and open their own business.
By God’s grace and an amazing community, we managed to keep our doors open. Even though we are still struggling to rebuild what was once a thriving business, I still have a set of keys to my livelihood; my dojo.
I know that today, some people will wake up to just a memory of their dojo. The stress of “what now” and the anxiety of having their dreams ripped out of their lives. My heart aches for all of you and I will continue to pray from the depths of my soul for you.
God’s mercy is amazing, humbling and truly uncanny. Keep your heads up, your vision strong and your faith robust. Keep fighting for your dreams, your passion and your profession. Now is the time to flex your tenacity and grit!
I believe in you and so does God.
You got this! 👊💥
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
[31] but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -AO
