Alright, time to put some respect on Mitch Marner’s name. After years of quiet production come playoffs in Toronto, Marner has stepped up through the first 2 rounds for his new team. Marner is leading the playoffs with 18 points thus far which includes 7 goals. Although Vegas has a tough road ahead with Colorado in their way, Marner deserves some credit for how he is performing.

Is Toronto the problem????

One of the most important skills for a defenseman is blue line mobility. Being able to walk the line in both directions and release the puck while in motion is crucial for performance. Cale Makar shows a great example on this goal.

Also have to give some credit to the Avalanche forwards screening the goalie.

Faceoffs are the ultimate 50/50 puck battle and they happen consistently throughout the entire game. Faceoffs lead to key possessions which can create/defend scoring opportunities.
