RAN STAGE OF THE WEEK AND GOT COOKED BY MY MEMBER Matt H. 😭
We both ran the stage cold, and this is what we produced:
Matt H. time of 14.14, points 110, 110/14.14 = 7.779 HIT FACTOR
Pete Kay time of 16.22, points 108, 108/16.22 = 6.658 HIT FACTOR
I’ve noticed a trend where folks repeatedly run the stage and post their best run. You should and will improve those scores after seeing the targets, gaming the positions, and getting ‘warmed up’ to everything. In a real match or (probably) in a gunfight, you get only one run, and that’s it. You need to be 💯 on that first cold run, capable of delivering on demand. That is your baseline and how you will perform cold.
Running a stage helps reveal your weaknesses, which you should be able to identify while working through a dynamic stage under pressure. This should influence your practice routines at the range. Struggling with collecting good points while engaging targets on the move, or making accurate shots on a distant target with a no-shoot? That should be your focus for practice.
Your first cold run is the only one that truly matters. Come run the stage of the week COLD—no practice, no warm-ups—just shoot it, then post your time and hits with evidence and share it with us!
How are you utilizing the stage of the week at Rooftop? 🤠
