Richard Petty got his cabin yesterday! He requested that I build him a model of the cabin and that it “not” be a birdhouse! Knowing that it was not going to be displayed outside, allowed me to add extra details that would not have to be weather proof! Special thanks to Evans Designs, for suggesting the necessary equipment to pull off the lighting of the cabin! The Generac generator is actually a cover for the 2 AAA batteries that power the lights! Thank you, Crown Trophy, for making the beautiful engraved plaque for the front of the cabin. They are the”Official Engraver of Skidrow Birdhouses”. In thanks, Richard gave me one of the 75th Anniversary coins, as the Petty’s are celebrating 75 years in racing and he and I are celebrating 55 years of friendship!

The latest birdhouses for the Petty Family Foundation have been delivered and are ready for tonight’s auction! Of course, I got the King’s support! He asked that I build him the replica cabin, that we auctioned off last year!! He wants it for the museum!!! Looks like I will be busy in the workshop again! Will follow up after the auction closes!
