Travis Equestrian Center The Travis Equestrian Center is a 60th Force Support Squadron outdoor recreation service for Travis Airman and their families.

It is an eligible use self care facility. Featuring 60 stalls, 3 outdoor arenas, 1 indoor arena on a 300 acre property.

🐴✨ Memorial Day Weekend 2026! ✨🌊

Memorial Day weekend with the Travis Equestrian Center, we traded the usual routine for some fresh air and adventures at the Santa Cruz Horseman’s Association (SCHA) grounds.

A Few Highlights from the Trip:

The Riding: The facilities were great! We spent time practicing in the large, well-maintained arenas and testing our skills on the obstacle course. It was such a great way to bond with our horses and sharpen horsemanship skills.

The Trails: When we weren’t in the arena, we were out exploring. The surrounding trails were absolutely gorgeous—peaceful and scenic.

Coastal Fun: We couldn't be this close to the coast and not take advantage of it! A few members headed over to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk to soak up the classic beach vibes and enjoyed some refreshing, scenic walks right on the beach. 🏖️🎡

From sunrise rides to cooling off by the ocean, it was the great mix of adventure and relaxation.

Ram Tap Success for Travis Equestrian! 🐴✨
What a weekend! Our Travis Equestrian team took over the Ram Tap Horse Park for the April 4-5 Schooling Horse Trials, and "impressed" would be an understatement.
The footing was great, the sun was out, and our riders were on fire. We are incredibly proud to announce that every single team member finished with Double Clear rounds! 🕒❌🧤 Crossing that finish line with no jumping or time penalties is no easy feat, and it shows just how much hard work has been happening behind the scenes.
🏆 The Results are In:
Our riders held their own against some stiff competition, bringing home fantastic ribbons in their respective divisions:
• 4th Place Finish 🏅
• 5th Place Finish 🎗️
• 5th Place Finish 🎗️
Huge shoutout to the horses for being absolute rockstars and to the support crew who kept everyone hydrated and on schedule. Whether it was the dressage ring or the cross-country course, the Travis spirit was loud and proud.
Way to go, team! Can’t wait for the next one! 🏇💨

UC Davis has announced big changes to their sport sponsorship team for 2026-2027, and the changes blindsided the equestrian team and all involved.

Ada Hirschfeld, a rider on the UC Davis Equestrian Team, says, "This decision doesn’t just affect our team, it impacts the entire horse industry by limiting pathways for riders, trainers, vets, and professionals coming up through collegiate programs. We’ve created a petition in hopes of saving it."
