Hobie Dick Race Team Time to get a little faster. We loved our time on The HahPoon but we're selling that amazing vessel and stepping up to The Hobie Dick, a Hobie 33!

In the early 1980's, Boston Whaler set out to built a "micro" yacht that the energy conscious buyers of the day would appreciate. They partnered with C & C Yachts who engineered the boat then built it with the typical, indestructible Boston Whaler philosophy. Only 150 were made and I'm excited as hell that one now is moored in Grand Traverse Bay and racing on Wednesday nights at The Grand Traverse

Yacht Club. Luckily we found an great skipper in Cory Weber to get us up and running and in race shape. Crewmen Blake Bernard and Chad Brown will be diligent, if sometimes not sober, students as we look to hopefully gain a little speed each week.

The work continues! Stripped all the hardware off the deck in preparation for a new non-skid paint job!
