Alarms went off
At a truly rude hour,
We questioned our choices
With each porta-potty stop and gel power.

The buses are loaded,
The start line is near,
Some people feel confident…
Some are surviving on caffeine and fear.

But soon we’ll be flying
Down Old Mission’s shore,
Smiling through cramps saying,
“Maybe just one marathon more.”
