What a year for Bayshore!

This weekend brought some truly unforgettable performances and many of our course records were broken.

🏅 New Bayshore Course Records
• Mattie Carter — Women’s Marathon: 2:36:33
• Erin McDonald — Women’s Half Marathon: 1:13:37
• Andrew Bowman — Men’s 10K: 29:11

🏆 National Masters Marathon Records
• Iain Hunter — Men’s 55+: 2:31:29*
• Mary Ann Protz — Women’s 70+: 3:23:32*

Congratulations to these amazing athletes, your inspirational performances will last a lifetime!

The finish line may be behind us, but we’re still soaking in all the memories from an incredible Bayshore weekend. Seeing your smiles, celebrations, PR reactions, finish-line moments, and post-race joy has been one of our favorite parts of the weekend.

Roses are red,
Our legs feel bizarre,
We paid actual money
To run very far.

Alarms went off
At a truly rude hour,
We questioned our choices
With each porta-potty stop and gel power.

The buses are loaded,
The start line is near,
Some people feel confident…
Some are surviving on caffeine and fear.

But soon we’ll be flying
Down Old Mission’s shore,
Smiling through cramps saying,
“Maybe just one marathon more.”

Good luck today, runners —
Go soak up the views and the glory,
Because every single Bayshore finish
Comes with a legendary story. ✨
