Hello, my MitnFitters,

It’s Coach Amber and I honestly don’t even know how to begin this post. So I’ll just say it: with a very heavy heart, I’m announcing that MitnFit will be closing. Our last day of classes will be Friday, May 31st.

Words can’t express how deeply grateful I am for each and every one of you. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my dream, and most importantly lifting each other up day after day. What we’ve built together is rare. The culture and community we’ve intentionally created won’t be lost—it’s just shifting.

This isn’t goodbye; it’s see you later. Life right now isn’t allowing me to give MitnFit the energy, focus, and love it (and you!) deserve. But this isn’t the end of the story.

We’re beyond excited to share that MitnFit is officially an Affiliate Gym for the Deadly Dozen Fitness Race — a brand-new competition launching in the USA, and we’re proud to be one of the first gyms in the country to bring this epic challenge to our athletes! 🇺🇸💥

What is the Deadly Dozen?
It’s not just a fitness race — it’s a test of raw strength, endurance, and mental toughness. You’ll face 12 Labours (yes, with the British “U”) that push your limits and demand grit, power, and relentless determination. The Deadly Dozen has many ways to compete, from the original track race, to the deadly fitness test, deadly strong and deadly ergs, there is a race for everyone! 💪🔥

The 12 Labours:

We are thrilled to introduce the Deadly Dozen Racing Series to the United States!

The Deadly Fitness Test, or DFT, consists of 6 x 400m efforts alternating between 6 weighted movement stations. Starting at the beginning and between each movement, the 400 meters can be completed by rowing, skiing, or by completing 20 or 15 Calories on the Assault Bike. (20 Calories for men and 15 calories for women).

The movement stations, or “Labours,” are all rep based as follows:
Weights are listed as (Men/Women) x ( # of DBs/KBs)
60 Single Kettle Bell Deadlift (70/53lbs) x 1
60 Alternating Dumbbell Sn**ch (35/20lbs) x 1
60 Goblet Squat (35/25lbs) x 1
60 Dumbbell Push Press (30/15lbs) x 2
60 Weight Plate Clean & Press (45/25lbs) x 1
20 Devils Press (25/12lbs) x 2

This is for all fitness levels! There will be standard weights used, but scaling options will be available. This will be a fun, community event designed to introduce participants to the Deadly Fitness Racing Series.
