"I'm busy."

We all are. That's not an answer — that's a wall.

Next time someone asks how you're doing, try something real:

✨ Share what you're working on.
✨ Mention what's energizing you.
✨ Be present for 30 seconds.

The most memorable people in any room aren't the busiest — they're the most intentional.

Your executive presence isn't just shaped by what you say—it's shaped by the words you choose.

Many leaders unintentionally weaken their message with filter phrases like:
• "I think..."
• "I just wanted to..."
• "Maybe we could..."
• "Does that make sense?"

These phrases can make confidence sound like uncertainty.

Instead of filtering your message, own it:
➡️ "I recommend..."
➡️ "Here's the solution..."
➡️ "My perspective is..."
➡️ "Let's move forward with..."

Strong leaders don't speak to be liked. They speak to create clarity, build confidence, and move people to action.

What's one filter phrase you've worked to eliminate from your vocabulary?

When my son called from Officer Candidate School, I said something I didn't plan to say:

"Keep your honor clean."

It's a line from The Marines' Hymn. And it got me thinking — what would it look like to hold ourselves to that standard at work?

This week's blog is about honor: what it means, why we've stopped talking about it, and the questions worth asking yourself right now.

Making a decision is only half the battle.

The other half? Actually doing something about it.

In this reel, I break down why so many leaders stall after the decision is made — and how perfectionism quietly kills momentum before you ever get started.

The fix isn't a perfect plan. It's one small action, taken now.

Because progress doesn't come from waiting for the right moment. It comes from honoring your decisions with consistent, imperfect steps forward.

Watch and share with a leader who needs to hear this today.

I was on vacation. Relaxing. No meetings, no deadlines, no obligations.

And yet my Ring told a completely different story — my stress levels were elevated. My nervous system was running hot even while I was supposed to be at rest.

That data stopped me cold (pun intended).

It was the moment I realized my nervous system wasn't regulated. I wasn't actually recovering — I was just changing locations.

The cold plunge became one of my tools for changing that. Not just to build resilience, but to actually teach my body what calm feels like again.

If you're a high performer who can't seem to "turn off," the problem might not be your schedule. It might be your nervous system.

What's one thing you do to truly recover — not just rest?

You can keep checking the boxes.
Keep doing what’s expected.
Keep waiting for someone to tell you you’re ready.

Or…

You can decide to become who you already know you’re capable of being.

Being “The Actual” isn’t about perfection. It’s about owning your voice, trusting your instincts, and leading with conviction — even before you feel completely ready.

The version of you you’re striving for?
She’s built through action, not waiting.

The job might not be there forever.
The economy shifts.
Governments change.
Companies restructure.

But your talent? That's yours.

The most reliable investment you'll ever make is in yourself. Not in an external outcome — in the capability you carry with you everywhere you go.

That's not blind optimism. That's strategy.

Bet on you.
